The surfer community mourned on Wednesday. The triple world champion Andy Irons was found dead in a hotel room in Dallas. Apparently, the surfer was the victim of dengue, a disease that he would have been infected in Peniche, Portugal, during a stage of world championship.
* According to British newspaper the Daily Mail, managers of the surf world issued statements mourning his death, said to be "one of the greatest surfers of the century" and "one of the most genuine person." The publication also noted that Irons’ wife, Lyndie, is eight months pregnant of the couple’s first child.
