It was amazing. Gilberto Gil’s show promoted by Nextel club at Número Bar in Sao Paulo, gathered cool people and stars in a unforgettable evening. Gilberto sang accompanied by his son, Bem Gil on guitar – and had two very special guests: Mart’nália and his daughter Preta Gil.
* They played the composer’s hits such as “Palco”, “Esotérico”, “Estrela” and “Vamos Fugir,” in addition to "Saudade da Bahia" by Dorival Caymmi, who Gil called "our late beloved master." High point? The family assembled on stage. Preta in a miniskirt and a blouse, greeted Gil with a "Hi, Dad" and started hitched “Andar com Fé,” which got everybody on their feet.
* Bruna Lombardi, together with Carlos Alberto Riccelli, swayed to the music, and Daniela Mercury, to whom Preta dedicated the song “Menina Baiana”, took many pictures on her cellphone. Marisa Orth sat on the floor, right in front of the stage, with her boyfriend, musician Da Lua, and Carol Ribeiro and Andre Lima sang excitedly.
* At the end of the show, Preta had to go back on stage by popular demand, which kept shouting her name, and sang her hit “Sinais de Fogo”, featuring Mart’nália, that again made everyone dance.
