If the theme of the 29th Bienal of São Paulo was the relation between art and politics, the one who raised more polemics was certainly Gil Vicente, that even under protests, exposed his somewhat controversial work on a noble space among the 27 thousand m² of the building. The pictures show the artist himself pointing a gun to political and religious leaders.
* The opening of the exhibit, on Tuesday night, was only for guests – and there were many. The building was full of artists, critics, and of course politicians – Glamurama was also there. The one who welcomed most of the guests was Heitor Martins, always beside his wife Fernanda Feitosa. Visits across the floors where happening and people just kept coming.
* Milú Villela, Hector Babenco, Maria Ignez Barbosa, Vik Muniz, Carlinhos Jereissati, Sergio Kalil, Abilio Diniz with his wife, Geyze, and his son João Paulo with his wife Ana Garcia were only a few of the visitors on the first hours of the Bienal. Many, by the way, went straight to Daniel and Bia Roesler’s house, who were throwing an extra official party on celebration to the 29th Bienal.
