Handbag and accessories designer Irá Salles – a tremendous success in her native Bahia.

Handbag and accessories designer Irá Salles – a tremendous success in her native Bahia – has a good reason to celebrate: two of her creations have been chosen to the archives of the renamed Dutch museum Tassen Museum Hendrikj of handbags and luggage, in Amsterdam. The museum has over 4 thousand pieces from designers like Dior, Chanel, Hermès and Versace.

* The good news is that the curators for the museum should receive within the next weeks two pieces from the designer – the Glauber bag and the Romance wallet – that will be displayed from February to end of 2011 as part of the exhibition “Techniques”, that it explores old techniques that are being used to create modern and stylish pieces, such as Irá’s.
