Anthony McCall, British artist living in the United States, will arrive in Sao Paulo in early May to coordinate the assembly of his first solo exhibition in Brazil. Known for his large installations, in which uses light to "sculpt" the dark, McCall will present a set of historical and recent works in retrospective.
* Curated by Jacopo Crivelli Visconti, the exhibition will be at Luciana Brito Gallery, with the works accompanied by a bilingual 130-page catalog with over one hundred images and snippets of important texts, and interviews published on Anthony McCall, hitherto unpublished in Portuguese .
* Two new works will be presented here. The first is the original version on 16 mm of "Line Describing a Cone", his most celebrated work. Then you will see the digital version of this work, "Line Describing a Cone 2.0", recently completed and so far only shown at the Tate Modern, in London.
