Sotheby’s in London will auction, on November 30th, 20 pieces from the jewelry collection that used to belong to the Windsor Duchess. The collection includes a Cartier bracelet from 1952, in the shape of a Leopard, stubbed with diamonds and onyx, estimated at US$2.3 million. Also going to auction is a Flamingo-shaped brooch stubbed with rubies, sapphires, emeralds, citrus and diamonds, and a cigarette holder, with the map of Europe and the cities that were relevant in the Duchess´s history, engraved with precious stones. Chic!

* Since the huge auction that happened in 1987 at Sotheby´s, in favor of the Pasteur Institute of France, this is the first time the Duchess´ jewels go on sale. At the time, the bids totaled US$ 50 million, a landmark that stays until today as a record of collection at an auction of jewels from a single owner.
